Istrian Culinary Adventure with Chef Amanda Cohen

The Istrian Culinary Adventure with Chef Amanda Cohen, curated by Terroir Hospitality and The Gourmet Vacation, was an immersive six-day journey through Croatia’s Istrian Peninsula. From October 13th to 19th, 2024, guests explored the region’s culinary landscape alongside the Michelin-starred chef of Dirt Candy, uncovering the flavors, traditions, and artistry of Istrian cuisine.

The adventure began in Rovinj, where travelers settled into the five-star Hotel Lone. Over the following days, participants engaged in truffle hunting in Motovun, market tours in Rovinj, and exclusive tastings at world-class wineries and olive oil producers. The journey also included a deep dive into the coastal bounty of Istria, featuring oyster tastings, seafood butchery demonstrations, and a Michelin-recommended dining experience with Chef David Skoko. A visit to Brijuni National Park provided a scenic interlude, while an afternoon at a historic goat cheese farm rounded out the experience with a hands-on cooking session.

Each day balanced discovery and indulgence, offering a rare glimpse into Istria’s rich gastronomic culture. The trip concluded with a farm-to-table farewell feast, leaving participants with unforgettable memories of this extraordinary culinary exploration. From vineyard hills to Adriatic shores, the Istrian Culinary Adventure celebrated the essence of food, tradition, and shared experiences.
